Interactive documentary（old idea）

In recent years, there is a form of documentary called interactive documentary, such as ‘The Last Generation’

From the perspective of three children, the work tells the history, current situation and future of Marshall Islands, as well as the problems it faces, “global warming, rising sea level, potential inundation of low-altitude areas”. It aims to arouse people’s attention and thinking on this issue, and calls on individuals, countries and relevant organizations to take active measures.

In general, this interactive documentary is very enlightening. It uses video, text, illustration, data visualization and sound to let users move in the story with their own rhythm and participate in the materials that are meaningful to them.

I want to produce an interactive documentary and create a web page for it. My plan is to find three representative girls to shoot three short documentary films. The audience can selectively watch different documentaries according to their preferences. After entering the documentaries, the audience can also watch different small clips according to the spatial order (such as choosing to enter the protagonist’s room, or going out of the room, etc.) to experience subculture fashion and the girl’s life story from the perspective of the protagonist.

At present, this is only a general idea, and the specific details have not been worked out.
